"The entry to my home and the bathroom connected to it needed to be updated. Originally, the entry door was barely able to keep the cold out in the winter, and when you walked through the door there was an old mop sink staring you in the face. The bathroom had a 1970's motif with ugly brown linoleum, and a light yellow toilet and sink. Greg with Platinum homes and Remodeling was able to improve and update my bathroom and entry and is now very inviting to my guests. Greg replaced my old entry door with one that has a beautiful glass design which lets in sunlight. The mop sink is gone and was replaced with a small bench with storage underneath and gorgeous cabinets above it. The linoleum in the bath and entry were replaced with a marble tile that is commented on by every new guest. The bathroom has a new paint job, toilet, sink, countertop, tile backsplash, and a much needed alder wood cabinet for storage. I enjoy walking into my house every day now thanks to Platinum Homes and Remodeling. The work was done in a timely manner, and it was very easy working with Greg. "In 2005, Basement Innovations undertook the remodeling of our basement. Most of the demolition - removal of paneling, drywall, door frames, carpet, etc. - was handled by Greg Schlauer. He did superb work. Because some of the carpet was glued to the cement floor, removing both carpet and glue was time-consuming, arduous work. Greg handled everything efficiently and effectively. All of the debris was removed daily, occasionally more than once a day. At no time was there an oversize dumpster parked in out driveway. Greg cleaned the rooms of clutter every day before he left. Greg was also involved in the remodeling, framing, putting up drywall, texturing, painting. An additional task for him was replacing a small basement window with an egress window, a major undertaking, especially in January. The result was everything we could ask for. Part of the work involved tiling a basement hallway and bathroom as well as tiling the front entry. Greg did all of the tiling, including grout work. We've had a number of compliments on the result. At the time of the remodeling, Greg was working with his dad. It was very clear to us that Greg had been well taught, that father and son worked well together, and that both had a keen respect for all elements that contribute to a successful business. Greg was always on time, always in a good mood, and careful and precise in his work. He was always willing to assume responsibility.
